Director of Nursing (Sign-on Bonus)

Job Relationships:

Responsible to: CEO/Administrator

Supervises: All Nursing Personnel

Interrelationships: Works cooperatively with nurse managers, nursing personnel, medical staff, other department managers and personnel, patients and the public.

Job Summary:

Manages all nursing services, plans, organizes and directs all nursing functions and activities personally or through nurse managers. Maintains and improves the level of patient care/resident care and standards of care in the facility. Ensures compliance with established standards, practices and regulatory requirements of nursing department.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (B.S.N.) and 3 years supervisory/management experience preferred; Master’s Degree (M.A.) in nursing or healthcare administration a plus; four to 10 years varied patient care experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be available to take occasional call (30-minute response time). Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are mandatory. Must be able to multitask and prioritize to accomplish many tasks. Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Certificates and Licenses:

Registration and current RN license in the state of Kansas, Advanced Cardio Life Support, Advanced Pediatric Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Corse, BLS.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages nurses who supervise employees in the Acute Care, Swing-Bed, Intermediate Swing-Bed, Emergency Room and Outpatient services areas. Manages the clinic nursing services. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Registered Nurse / RN Charge (Sign-on Bonus)

Supervises: Supervising CNA’s and LPN’s

Interrelationships: Works cooperatively with nurse managers, nursing personnel, medical staff, other department managers and personnel, patients and the public.

Job Summary:

Services provided at our facility include acute care, skilled nursing care, intermediate swing bed, emergency department, and outpatient services. This position covers each of these areas. Registered nurses provide compassionate, and individualized nursing care to patients and have a variety of duties. Specialized duties include administrating prescribed medications, typically intravenously, ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests, monitoring specialized equipment, and interpreting electronic displays as well as responding to life-threatening situations based upon standing protocols.

Registered Nurse/RN Charge Responsibilities

    • Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process
    • Collaboration with providers and multidisciplinary team members
    • Providing physical and psychological support to patients and families
    • Supervising assigned team members
    • Knowledge and nursing practice compliant with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and generally accepted standards and patient care practice
    • Versatility and multi-tasking required to work in multiple departments of the facility.

Job Qualifications:

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school. Medical/Surgical/Emergency or Critical Care experience in a similar size hospital is preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

Registration and current registered nurse (RN) license with Kansas Board of Nursing. BLS Certification required. ACLS, TNCC, and PALS Certifications preferred.

License Practical Nurse (Sign-on Bonus)

Job Summary:

To provide basic care to patients, as well as assist them in activities of daily living.

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferable.

Certificates and Licenses:

Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Kansas. CPR certified, ACLS, IV certified recommended.

Nurse Assistant / Certified Nurse Assistant (Sign-on Bonus)

To provide basic care to patients, as well as assist them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of RNs and LPNs within the organization.

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferable.

Certificates and Licenses:

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in the State of Kansas or be able to transfer certification to Kansas. CPR certified.
