About Us
Ashland Health Center (AHC) is a comprehensive, rural community health complex that has been providing care to the greater Ashland community for over 95 years. AHC is proud of our service to the community through our 25-bed critical access hospital (includes 17 Senior Living Unit) and rural health clinic. We are a not-for-profit hospital district that is governed by a board of directors elected by the community.
AHC is a proud member of the Great Plains Health Alliance (GPHA), an organization of leased, managed and affiliated hospitals in Kansas and Nebraska. Formed in 1950, GPHA is one of the oldest and largest not-for-profit management systems in the nation developed to meet the special needs and challenges of the community healthcare system.
AHC is located in Ashland, the largest city and the county seat of Clark County, Kansas. Ashland lies on what was once a military road between Fort Dodge (now Dodge City, KS) and Fort Supply and the Indian Territory.
As one of the largest employers in Ashland, we believe that providing the very best care begins with the recruitment and retention of high-quality healthcare professionals. AHC offers a comprehensive range of benefits, please visit our career page for more info. Our greatest asset is our people and we take care of them!
