Job Summary:

Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the overall operation of the Senior Living Nursing Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern this facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Requires incumbent to travel on occasion with overnight stays a possibility.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Manages employees in the senior living center department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Consults with and advises the DON of problems related to the operation of the department; recommends changes in policies to carry out department objectives more effectively.

Job Qualifications:

        • Minimal (2) years previous patient care experience. 2 years in management preferred.
        • Availability to work a minimum of 40 sustainable hours a week, including floor, call and administrative duties. Regardless of nights, weekends, and holidays.
        • Capable of maintaining regular attendance.
        • Experienced in performance management and effective leadership.
        • Possess basic computer skills, including e-mail, Microsoft, EMR.
        • Effective communication skills.
        • Strong attention to detail along with ability to multi-task and delegate.

Certificates and Licenses:

Registration and current RN license in the state of Kansas, Advanced Cardio Life Support, Advanced Pediatric Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Corse, BLS.

Rural Health Clinic Nurse (Sign-on Bonus)

Job Summary:

Performs all nursing services, within scope of practice; plans and organizes day to ensure the efficient functions and activities within the RHC. Maintains and improves the level of patient care, resident care and standards of care in the RHC. Ensures compliance with established standards, practices and regulatory requirements of the nursing department.

Job Summary:

Services provided at our facility include acute care, skilled nursing care, intermediate swing bed, emergency department, and outpatient services. This position covers each of these areas. Registered nurses provide compassionate, and individualized nursing care to patients and have a variety of duties. Specialized duties include administrating prescribed medications, typically intravenously, ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests, monitoring specialized equipment, and interpreting electronic displays as well as responding to life-threatening situations based upon standing protocols.

Registered Nurse/RN Charge Responsibilities

          • Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process
          • Collaboration with providers and multidisciplinary team members
          • Providing physical and psychological support to patients and families
          • Supervising assigned team members

Job Qualifications:

The LPN is responsible for functioning within their scope of practice.

Job Summary:

Assists Clinic nurses and other team members with duties within scope of practice. Maintain regulatory agency requirements, outpatient services, rural health clinic and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Will process and schedule referrals to specialists and relay needs, concerns and/ or questions to each referred specialty. Will return calls to patients with responses to concerns, questions, or requests per direction from the patient’s provider. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission and core values. Will provide scheduling and coordination of office visits, and outpatient services that meet the physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family. Provides additional clerical assistance for the hospital, rural health clinic and outpatient services as directed by Rural Health Clinic Supervisor.

Job Qualifications:
