Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Ashland Health Center partners with Meridian Health for Pulmonary Rehabilitation services. Meridian is one of the largest providers of pulmonary rehabilitation in the country. Pulmonary rehabilitation is recognized as a core component for the medical management of individuals with chronic lung diseases. Chronic lung disease is treatable and pulmonary rehabilitation can significantly improve patient’s health-related quality of life, reduce exacerbations and the costs associated with their healthcare. Pulmonary rehabilitation is a comprehensive system of services which includes progressive exercises coupled with education, counseling and behavioral change interventions.

Pulmonary Conditions We Treat

Although pulmonary rehabilitation is often focused on COPD, it can be beneficial in the treatment of many other pulmonary conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, post COVID-19, pre/post lung transplant and pulmonary fibrosis.
